In response to the growing trend of young people under 30 sharing aspects of their dates with friends and family, Tinder, the popular dating app, is launching a new feature called “Share My Date.” This feature allows users to easily share date details with loved ones, providing them with peace of mind while allowing users to focus on the fun aspects of getting ready for a date.
Melissa Hobley, Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized that the purpose of “Share My Date” was to enhance the dating experience by making it more fun, safe, and respectful for all users. The feature streamlines the process of sharing date plans, allowing users to choose an outfit and prepare conversation topics without worrying about keeping their loved ones informed.
With “Share My Date,” users can easily share details such as location, date, time, and a photo of their date through a simple link. Users have control over who they share this information with and can schedule an unlimited number of dates up to 30 days in advance. Additionally, users can update details if there are any last-minute changes. The feature will be rolled out in various countries around the world in the coming months.
