The Serenade of the Seas, part of Royal Caribbean’s nine-month-long Ultimate World Cruise, has faced a tragic event. On February 12th, Royal Caribbean confirmed that a passenger on board had passed away. The company expressed its deepest support and assistance to the loved ones of the deceased passenger and stated that they would not be providing any further information at this time.
E! News has reached out to Royal Caribbean for their comment but has yet to receive a response. Initially, the news of the passenger’s death came from a TikToker named Adita, who shared it in a video that she posted on her account before deleting it. According to People magazine, Adita mentioned that an elderly lady had passed away on board the night before she witnessed her body being removed from the ship.
The Serenade of the Seas set sail on its 274-night Ultimate World Cruise back in December with tickets reportedly sold for $53,999. Despite this unfortunate incident, the cruise continues to be a viral sensation among travelers and cruisers alike.
