Local business suffers major fire damage; owner determined to rebuild

Tri-State Lawn Care in Flatwoods, Kentucky, a subsidiary of Tri-State Enterprise, was destroyed by fire on Tuesday afternoon. The blaze left owner Michael Wheeler in shock as he watched decades of hard work disappear in minutes. Wheeler described the feeling as numbness and disbelief, struggling to process the event.

Fortunately, everyone inside the building escaped unharmed, thanks to the quick response of the Flatwoods Fire Department. Fire Chief Brent Dean reported that the fire broke out at Tri-State Lawn Care on Argillite Road with three to four people inside at the time.

Despite the devastation, Wheeler expressed his determination to rebuild and remain positive. He emphasized the need to look towards the future and thanked the community for their support throughout the years. The business had a long history of serving the community and Wheeler remained hopeful that they would continue to do so in the future. He acknowledged the bravery of firefighters who helped contain the blaze and expressed gratitude for their assistance during this difficult time.
