The UMass Amherst Libraries is hosting an exhibit named “Making a Globe of Distinction: Stories about International Well being.” It will be situated in the Science and Engineering Library, Lederle Lowrise, and will run till January six, 2024. A reception for the exhibit will be held on September 27 from three-five p.m. in the Science and Engineering Library Finding out Studio.
The 1st element of the exhibit, which will be on show till October 7, capabilities a traveling exhibit presented by the National Library of Medicine. It has been guest curated by Ashley Bowen, a public historian, educator, and editor of Perspectives on History. This exhibition and its companion web site share stories of men and women who are functioning on several challenges, such as neighborhood well being, conflict, illness, and discrimination, to boost well being each locally and globally. These stories highlight the collaboration in between communities, scientists, activists, governments, and international organizations to combat illness and boost top quality of life.
Even though the traveling exhibit will finish on October 7, the UMass Amherst researchers in International Well being will continue to show their function till January six, 2024.
