Abstract Guidelines for 2024 Global Health Week at MUSC

The MUSC Global Health Week is looking for well-written abstracts for the poster session. These abstracts should be in narrative form and not include tables, charts or graphs. They must not exceed 300 words, not including the title. Submitting authors are expected to attend the event and present their poster, and must obtain pre-approval from any co-authors before submitting the abstract.

To be accepted, abstracts should be well-organized, concise, clear and well-written. They should address a problem and outline an approach to solving it. While providing preliminary results is suggested but not required, results will be required for the final poster. Authors must also establish a clear connection between their work and outcomes related to global health.

The committee will evaluate submissions based on originality, presentation, relevance, quality and clarity. They will recommend which submissions should be included in the poster session. Authors will be notified of acceptance by March 29th with detailed instructions on poster preparation sent with the acceptance notice.
