Lebanon’s Science Olympiad accomplishment was a group work

As the coach of the Lebanon Higher College Science Olympiad group, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude, on behalf of our students, to the stakeholders in our neighborhood who have been so essential to our accomplishment. The Byrne Foundation, Bio X Cell, Geokon, Mascoma Bank and Ulysses Diversified Holdings have every single contributed to our teams at several points all through the final eight years.

This year, Lebanon Higher College took very first and second spot in the state championships held in April at Saint Anselm College and was in a position to send a group of 15 higher college students from Lebanon, Grantham and Plainfield to the national championships in Wichita, Kan., thanks to the help of our sponsors. Representing our neighborhood and the state of New Hampshire at this national competitors is an impressive achievement for our students and our college district — one particular that will inspire generations of Lebanon students to come.

Hartford missing out on income for housing

The Hartford Selectboard is potentially missing out on millions of dollars in grants and low-interest loans (state and federal) to invest in housing: Northern Border Regional Commission and “10% in Vermont.”

Hands off my Medicare and Social Safety
