Young Scientists Raise Awareness about Clean Air Pollution: Julian Thomas Elementary School Wins Fresh Air Science Fair

Bango honors champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

A group of fifth graders at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine recently received special recognition for their participation in a Fresh Air Science Fair that took place from February 1st to March 27th. The students formed teams and submitted projects that aimed to raise awareness about clean air pollution.

The entries were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation. The judges included representatives from Modine, the Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County.

The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 27th and was attended by Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers. During the ceremony, winners were announced and prizes were awarded. The first-place team members each received three tickets to the April 10th Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, along with transportation to and from the game and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams received Bucks merchandise as their prizes.
