Bill Mack, a Social Studies Instructor at the Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, has been named the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year by the Hawk Mountain Council BSA. The award was presented to him at a breakfast held on April 26, 2024, at the STC North Campus.
Shannon Brennan, STC Director, praised Mr. Mack for his exceptional teaching skills and his ability to inspire leadership in his students. He also commended him for his dedication to community service.
With sixteen years of teaching experience under his belt, Bill Mack has made a significant impact on the North Schuylkill School District and the Schuylkill Technology Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University and is currently working towards his Principal’s Certification at Alvernia University.
In addition to his role as an educator, Bill Mack is actively involved in various leadership positions within the community. He has held positions such as District President and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association, as well as leadership roles in the Protective Order of Elks, Number 1533. He also serves as the STC SkillsUSA Advisor. Bill Mack and his wife Holly are proud parents to their daughter Laynie.
