Noah Lyles is determined to make history at the 2024 Games in Paris by winning quadruple Olympic gold. He recently made his debut in the 4x400m event at the Indoor World Championships in Glasgow, where the American team narrowly missed out on gold.

Lyles is now returning to his roots and focusing on his 100m specialty in the Bahamas. In order to achieve his ambitious goal of four golds, he will need to excel in a variety of challenging events, including the 4x100m and 4x400m relays as well as the 100m and 200m sprints. This feat has never been accomplished before by any track star, not even the legendary Usain Bolt.

While there have been only two men who have achieved four athletics golds at a single Games – nine-time champion Carl Lewis and four-time champion Jesse Owens – their tallies included a long jump title. However, Lyles’ goal is to win four sprint events.

In a March 2024 interview, Lyles explained that his decision to compete in multiple events was not for attention but a serious pursuit of greatness. Despite facing tough competition in Glasgow, Lyles demonstrated his talent as the fastest third leg of all six teams, setting a strong foundation for his Olympic aspirations.
