The Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is fast approaching and there are only a few seats left to reserve. Set to take place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1, this event presents small business owners with an opportunity to connect with city officials and discuss ways in which the city can support their success.
The event will feature Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella, and other city staff, providing attendees with the chance to share what is working well and what improvements could be made. They will also learn about business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, and new reporting requirements for the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS.
Even experienced small business owners may benefit from this event as Mayor Ortega emphasized the possibility of learning something new. The event will begin with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 a.m., followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 a.m.
Admission to the event is free but seats must be reserved online through Eventbrite. The event is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
