In Alexandria, Egypt, an unknown terrorist group known as the Martyr Muhammad Salah Brigades has released a video claiming to show the murder of Israeli businessman Ziv Kipper. The video, posted online and reported by Israeli website Ynet, depicts an armed man approaching Kipper’s car and firing five shots, accompanied by a voiceover in Arabic from the “children of Gaza.” The group responsible for the video claims they had eliminated an “Israeli agent.”
While Israel believes that the murder was a terrorist attack, Egyptian authorities maintain that it was a criminal act during an attempted robbery. Ziv Kipper’s wife, Oksana Kipper, expressed her belief in an interview with Israeli media that the murder was motivated by nationalistic reasons.
Ziv Kipper held both Israeli and Canadian citizenship and had been operating in Egypt for 9 years as the owner of OK Group LLC, which produces frozen fruits and vegetables with offices in Israel and Ukraine. Investigations into his murder are ongoing, with Israel negotiating with Egyptian authorities to uncover the truth behind his tragic death.
