Three businesses in Chicago were targeted in a series of armed robberies on Tuesday night. The first robbery occurred around 9:50 p.m. at a business in the 1800-block of West 47th Street, where three male suspects entered the premises and demanded property from an employee before grabbing money from a register and fleeing in an unknown direction.
Around 10:09 p.m., the second robbery took place at a business in the 1100-block of West 18th Street, where three suspects entered with handguns and demanded property from both employees and customers. One of the employees was struck in the head with a handgun before the suspects fled southbound on May Street. Despite declining medical attention, the employee is expected to recover.
The third robbery happened around 10:20 p.m. at a 7-Eleven store in the 2000-block of North Damen Avenue, where three male suspects entered with handguns and demanded property from an employee before grabbing money from a register and fleeing south on Damen Avenue.
