On Monday, the baseball action was dominated by strong performances from several players. Somerset emerged victorious over Richland with a final score of 18-5. Callen Miller played a standout role in the game, recording five hits including a home run and five RBIs. Lane Lambert also had a big game, adding two hits including a home run and five RBIs. Carter Dunmyer contributed three hits to the win, while Braeden Flower struck out 10 batters over six innings.
In other baseball news, Conemaugh Township secured a 7-5 victory over Cambria Heights thanks to Larry Weaver’s two hits and two RBIs including a home run. D.J. Bambino drove in two runs while Luke Weber and Brennan Lohr each contributed two hits for Conemaugh Township. Windber defeated Ferndale 12-2 in six innings with Lucas Oleksa hitting a 3-run home run and tallying four RBIs. Lucas Rummel and Nathan Betcher also had strong performances for Windber.
