Breaking the Stigma: Gwinnett County’s Community Health Fair Promotes Mental Health Awareness

Free Health Screenings Offered by Gwinnett County at Community Events

In support of Mental Health Awareness Month, Live Healthy Gwinnett is hosting a community health fair on Saturday, May 11. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center in Suwanee. CareSource and GUIDE, Inc. are sponsoring the event, which is free of charge and open to all members of the community.

According to Gwinnett County officials, the event will include interactive demonstrations, health screenings, and opportunities to connect with local agencies that offer mental health resources and support. Project Coordinator Carion Marcelin expressed excitement about the health fair, stating, “We are thrilled to host this community health fair to promote mental health awareness and empower residents with valuable resources and information.”
