Lillard and Antetokounmpo ruled out for Bucks in Game 4 against Pacers on Sunday

The 2024 NBA Playoffs feature a series between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers. Unfortunately, the Bucks have been dealing with injuries to their star players. Giannis Antetokounmpo is already out of the series due to a calf strain, and now Damian Lillard will also miss Game 4 with an Achilles strain. This puts extra pressure on players like Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Patrick Beverley to step up and keep the Bucks in the series.

In their last game, Khris Middleton scored an impressive 42 points, but the absence of Antetokounmpo and Lillard creates a significant challenge for the team. The Pacers currently lead the series 2-1, and without their two best players, the Bucks will need a collective effort from the entire team to avoid falling into a 1-3 hole.

Damian Lillard’s absence is particularly impactful as he has been a key player for the Bucks in this series. He has been averaging 32.3 points and 5.3 assists per game in this playoffs run so far. His injury occurred on the final play of regulation in Game 3, which was unfortunate as he was able to contribute effectively in overtime despite his Achilles injury.

This stroke of bad luck has forced the Bucks to reassess their roster and future plans. While injuries are part of any sports team’s life, Milwaukee must address deeper questions about their team construction and strategy moving forward. The remaining games of this series will be a test of resilience for the Bucks as they fight to stay competitive against a tough Pacers team.

The loss of Antetokounmpo and Lillard is undoubtedly significant setbacks for Milwaukee’s championship hopes this season. However, they must not let these losses discourage them or take away from their determination to succeed in this playoff run.

The remaining players on Milwaukee’s roster have shown that they can rise above challenges like these before. They must continue working together as a team and rely on each other’s strengths to overcome this obstacle.

As they face off against Indiana in Game 4, it’ll be interesting to see how these players step up and make up for Lillard’s absence. It won’t be easy, but if they can find ways to win without relying solely on one or two individuals, then they could end up being stronger than ever before by next season’s start date.
