Canada triumphs over U.S. with a 6-4 victory in the under-18 men’s world hockey championship.

In the thrilling final match of the under-18 men’s world hockey championship, Canada secured their fifth gold title with a 6-4 victory over the United States. Gavin McKenna led the charge for Canada, scoring a hat trick and an assist to help them rally back from an early 3-1 deficit. Cole Beaudoin, Tij Iginla, and Ryder Ritchie also contributed goals in the third period, sealing the win for Canada. Goalie Carter George made 31 saves to secure the victory.

On the other hand, Cole Hutson stood out for the U.S., scoring a goal and two assists. Christian Humphreys, Cole Eiserman, and Brodie Ziemer added goals of their own as well. Despite making 19 saves in net, Nicholas Kempf couldn’t stop Canada’s comeback.

In the bronze medal match, Love Harenstam put on a stellar performance for Sweden, stopping all 36 shots from Slovakia to secure a 4-0 victory. Lucas Pettersson broke the scoreless tie early in the third period with goals from Melvin Fernstrom, Alfons Freij, and Victor Eklund solidifying the win for Sweden. Alan Lendak made 25 saves for Slovakia in the losing effort.
