The Strong National Museum of Play is set to host the World Video Game Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the first time in three years. The event will take place on May 9th at 10:30 a.m. in the new World Video Game Hall of Fame rotunda. This year’s class includes nominees from four different decades of gaming, including Atari Asteroids, Guitar Hero, Elite, Metroid, SimCity, Ultima, Myst, Neopets, Resident Evil, Tokimeki Memorial, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and You Don’t Know Jack. These games are being recognized for their longevity, geographic reach and influence on video game design and pop culture. The Hall of Fame was established by The Strong in 2015 to honor games that have had a significant impact on the world of gaming.
