The Free Clinic of Culpeper received a $10,000 donation from UVA Health to honor National Doctors’ Day and recognize the exceptional service of its physicians. This generous gesture is a testament to UVA Health’s appreciation for the dedication and hard work of doctors in providing essential healthcare services to uninsured individuals and those unable to afford medical care.
As part of the nonprofit Culpeper Wellness Foundation, the Free Clinic collaborates with local partners to provide patients with access to other critical services such as counseling, transportation assistance, literacy training, employment support, and nutrition counseling. Its dedicated staff is supported by a team of community volunteers, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and office staff.
Located on the UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center campus, the free clinic benefits from UVA Health’s collaboration through providing lab work, imaging services, and specialty care to patients in need. Tammy LaGraffe, Director of the Free Clinic of Culpeper expressed deep appreciation for UVA Health’s ongoing support of the clinic and its patients. She stated that this donation is a testament to UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and their role as steadfast partners in the health and well-being of Culpeper community.
