In preparation for their upcoming season, the Philadelphia Eagles have recently drafted nine players and plan to sign some undrafted players. To make room for these newcomers on the roster, the team made several roster moves on Monday.
According to the NFL’s daily transaction report, the Eagles have waived four players: defensive tackle Noah Elliss, wide receiver Griffin Hebert, defensive back Tiawan Mullen, and offensive lineman Lecitus Smith. Additionally, the team officially announced the signing of tackle Mekhi Becton.
Of those who were released, only offensive lineman Lecitus Smith has regular season experience with the Cardinals in 2022 where he appeared in 10 games and made two starts.
The Eagles will be holding their rookie minicamp this weekend where they will have their first chance to work with this year’s rookie class. More roster moves may potentially occur after this event as the team continues to shape its roster for the upcoming season.
