On Monday, Mercyhurst Prep baseball secured a season sweep of Fairview with a thrilling 6-3 victory. The team was ecstatic after the win and heard from several key players and coaches. Hunter Krahe, who pitched 5 2/3 innings, was praised for his strong performance. Josh Majczyk, who launched a three-run home run, received high praise for his clutch contribution to the team’s victory.
Meanwhile, in other sports news from Monday, the District 10 boys tennis championship results were announced at Westwood Racquet Club. In the Class 2A singles tournament, Jonah Ng from Cathedral Prep emerged victorious over Gavin Ferretti from Cathedral Prep with a score of 6-1, 6-0. In the Class 3A singles tournament, John Sinnott from Erie High defeated Gridley Wright from McDowell with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
