The College of Science at the University of Idaho is hosting Vandal Science Days, a two-day science event on April 19-20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Integrated Research and Innovation Center (IRIC) in Moscow. This free, public event offers hands-on science experiences for participants of all ages.
Attendees will have the chance to engage in various science activities, interact with professors and students, and learn about the university’s science programs and projects. Some of the event highlights include hands-on activities like a fossil dig and comet making, as well as special presentations by faculty members on topics such as arsenic in beauty products and archaeochemistry.
In addition to the science activities, there will be workshops exploring the connections between science and music as part of the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, which coincides with the event from April 17-20. The festival features world-renowned jazz musicians and provides an opportunity for attendees to learn more about music theory and composition through interactive workshops.
