Exploring the Intersection of Science, Art, and Community Impact: UB’s Graduate School of Sciences Showcases Research in a Stunning Exhibit

A new exhibit at the Buffalo Museum of Science is showcasing how research can be both fascinating and visually stunning. Hosted by the University at Buffalo, the event featured the second annual Art of Research competition on Tuesday night, where graduate and post-doctoral students displayed their work.

UB’s Graduate School Dean Graham Hammill emphasized the significance of the project during his speech, highlighting the importance of effectively communicating studies and findings to the public. He emphasized how broad impacts of graduate research can range from curing diseases and creating technologies to addressing social inequalities. The exhibit serves as a reminder that graduate students and post-doctoral researchers are making important contributions in various fields, and their work deserves to be recognized and appreciated by the community.

The exhibit will remain on display at the museum until May, giving visitors an opportunity to see how research intersects with art and community impact. Visitors can appreciate the beauty and insightfulness of these creations while learning about the important work being done by graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in a variety of fields. Be sure to stop by and see what this unique exhibit has to offer!
