Meeting Between Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott’s Representative Reported

The Cowboys are currently in talks with Ezekiel Elliott’s agent, Josina Anderson revealed. Previously, ESPN had reported that both parties had expressed interest in a potential reunion. With veteran running back Tony Pollard signing with the Titans in free agency, there is now an opportunity for Elliott to return to the team he spent seven seasons with before becoming a free agent.

Ezekiel Elliott was drafted fourth overall in the 2016 NFL draft and played for the Cowboys until he became a free agent in 2023. In 2019, he held out for a new contract and eventually signed a deal that kept him with the Cowboys through the 2022 season. After playing a year with the New England Patriots, Elliott is now looking for a new team to call home.

During his time with the Cowboys, Elliott was a standout player, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. His best season came in his rookie year when he rushed for 1,631 yards and scored 16 total touchdowns. Despite declining performance over recent years, including only one 1,000-yard season since 2019, there is excitement among fans about the possibility of Elliott returning to the team he helped lead to multiple championships.
