Pierce County deputies retrieve truck belonging to business owner in Tacoma.

On Friday night, a Tacoma business owner named Ron Baker suffered a devastating loss when his box truck containing all of his gutter business was stolen. The incident took place in the 30300 block of 72nd Avenue South in Roy, where deputies responded to an unwanted person call and found a man sleeping inside the stolen truck.

The next day, on Saturday, KIRO 7’s Jake Chapman interviewed Baker who was still reeling from the theft. He feared that he would have to start over from scratch and was struggling to come to terms with the loss of his entire business. However, on Monday night, there was some good news as the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office informed KIRO 7 that the stolen truck had been recovered.

However, it is still unclear if all of the tools inside the truck were still present. The recovery of the truck is a small victory for Baker but he is still uncertain about what will happen next. In an effort to support him, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Baker in purchasing new tools and equipment. It is currently unknown whether any of the stolen equipment has been found or recovered.
