Grace Dobrzynski, a junior attacker for the Siena Saints, is currently holding the top spot for most assists in Division I women’s lacrosse this season. Her exceptional play has broken records for MAAC single-season assists and established her as the record holder for most assists in Siena program history. Dobrzynski has embraced her role as a distributor, shifting her focus from scoring to setting up goals for her teammates.
Growing up in Rhode Island, Dobrzynski honed her skills by practicing with her brothers and challenging herself by shooting on male goalies. This upbringing instilled a strong work ethic and a drive for excellence in her. When it came time to choose a college, Dobrzynski was drawn to Siena and the Albany Medical College Science and Humanities program in the Capital Region. With a family background in medicine, Dobrzynski found a way to pursue both her athletic and academic passions.
As Dobrzynski navigates her journey towards becoming a doctor, she has seamlessly integrated into the Siena lacrosse team as a key playmaker. Head coach Danielle Schwan-Tetreault commends Dobrzynski for her growth and decision-making abilities on the field. Despite facing challenges on and off the field, Dobrzynski remains confident and looks forward to her next year of eligibility. With the support of her teammates and coaches, she continues to evolve as a player and a leader, steadily progressing toward her goals.
