This week in sports, three golfers made remarkable hole-in-one shots at different courses. Wayne Moler from Waterford got a hole-in-one on the 112-yard, par 3 fourth hole at Oxbow Golf Course using a sand wedge. Witnesses Kelly Comer, Skip Wesson, and Tim Murphy were there to see this impressive feat.
In another part of the country, Todd Bloss recorded his 10th hole-in-one by acing the seventh hole at Oxnow Golf and Country Club with an 8-iron. Doug Garrett, Mike Rowley, and Dick Wigal were there to witness his achievement.
Fred Wanstreet, an 83-year-old golfer from Pennsboro, made his fourth hole-in-one with his 56-wedge on the 87-yard, fifth hole at Golf Club of West Virginia. His witnesses were his son, Dave Wanstreet, and his two grandsons, Isaiah and Caleb Wanstreet. Interestingly, Wanstreet’s previous three hole-in-ones all occurred on the same hole at North Bend Golf Course.
