Boa constrictors are dangerous snakes that can grow up to three meters long and kill their prey by entangling and strangling them with their powerful muscles. Authorities in Dessau-Roßlau, Saxony-Anhalt, are on high alert after a two-meter-long snake skin was found in a residential area. Residents are fearful as they have never seen such a dangerous constrictor snake before.
The only clue authorities have is the snake skin, which could indicate that it’s a king snake. However, obtaining a real snake skin is not easy, and some speculate that someone may have played a bad joke. As of Tuesday, the boa constrictor has not been found despite efforts by emergency services to search the building and cellars using thermal imaging cameras.
Emergency services in Dessau-Roßlau are still searching for the boa constrictor and advising residents to remain cautious until it’s found. Residents of Viethstrasse, where the snake skin was discovered, have been questioned but no illegal keeping of snakes has been reported. If you encounter the boa constrictor, do not approach it and contact authorities immediately.
