On April 25, supporters, Middle Park Health employees, and community members gathered to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the new health care center in Fraser. Located on the eastern side of Grand County, the Fraser Campus of Middle Park Health is set to provide emergency department services along with laboratory and diagnostic imaging services. Additionally, there will be two inpatient beds available at the campus, similar to those at the Granby and Kremmling campuses.
Staff members at Middle Park Health anticipate that the new campus will not only expand healthcare services but also provide faster emergency response times, economic benefits, and more. The facility is planned as a two-story, 30,000-square-foot structure with a helicopter pad and equipped to handle anything from minor injuries to critical emergencies. The first floor will house emergency medical services, four emergency exam rooms, two trauma bays, two licensed hospital beds, CT scanning, X-ray and lab services.
The second floor of the Fraser Campus will be 15,000 square feet and will serve future needs. Although the infrastructure of the second floor will be in place, the interior will be completed at a later date. Within the first three to five years of opening the Fraser location, Middle Park Health leadership will determine the best use for the second floor which may include expanding surgical services or additional clinic or rehabilitation space according to Director of Business Development Tiffany Freitag.
