The Hancock Bulldogs softball team had a successful doubleheader against Norway at the Hancock Driving Park. In the first game, Sofie Freeman went 3-for-4, driving in three runs and scoring three times to lead the Bulldogs to a sweep of the Iron Mountain Mountaineers with scores of 12-0 and 18-2.
Brooke Koskela also had an impressive game, hitting a single, a triple, and a two-run home run in the fifth inning. She finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Sydnie Scholie also contributed, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, a double, and a run scored. Ella Storm went 2-for-4 with three runs scored while Sadie Biekkola was stellar in the pitcher’s circle, striking out ten batters and only giving up two hits while also making an impact at the plate by going 2 for 4 with two RBI and a run scored.
