In an effort to promote the health and well-being of seniors in Brooklyn, Miss., the Forrest County Board of Supervisors is collaborating with the Southern Mississippi Planning and Developing District to host a Health & Resource Fair. The fair, which takes place at the Brooklyn Community Center on Thursday, April 18th from 10 a.m. to noon, will offer free health screenings, community resources, and aging services provided by SMPDD.
Forrest County Board President Terri Bell emphasized the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially for those aged 60 and above in the Southern part of the county. “The health and well-being of our seniors is a top priority for us,” said Bell. “We want to provide them with the resources and support they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
In addition to health screenings, the fair will also provide refreshments and door prizes for attendees. This event is an opportunity for seniors to access important resources and services to help them prioritize their health and well-being. For more news from WDAM 7, subscribe to our newsletter.
