Hillwood Purchases Three-Office Portfolio located in Irving

Irving-based office park, the Freeport Business Center, has recently been acquired by Hillwood, a Perot company from Dallas. The business center is strategically located near DFW Airport and major highways such as State Highway 114 and Interstate 635. Spread across 34 acres, the center comprises three buildings with approximately 383,000 square feet of office space.

Despite having a 70% occupancy rate, the Freeport Business Center boasts notable tenants such as Boeing, Sirius XM, Northrop Grumman Corp., and Yardi Systems. This acquisition by Hillwood is part of their ongoing effort to acquire high-quality, well-located real estate in key areas of North Texas.

Steve Aldrich, senior vice president of Hillwood, stated that the decision to acquire the Freeport portfolio was driven by its prime location and close proximity to DFW International Airport and major highways, making it an ideal destination for businesses looking for connectivity and access to a skilled workforce. Hillwood’s presence in North Texas began with the development of Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport 35 years ago and has since expanded to include the development of AllianceTexas, as well as playing a significant role in the Victory Park area of Dallas anchored by the American Airlines Center.
