On May 7th, the Kandiyohi County Board will hold a meeting in Willmar to recognize several important events and presentations. The board will issue proclamations for Mental Health Month, Foster Care Appreciation Month, Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, and Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the boardroom of the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building.
In addition to these proclamations, the meeting will feature presentations on mental health services and foster care in the county from various organizations such as Kandiyohi County’s Health and Human Services, Woodland Centers, and the United Community Action Partnership Parent Support Outreach Program.
Other agenda items for the meeting include discussing and approving the 2024 Community Crime Intervention and Prevention Grant contract as well as awarding bids for reconstruction of County Road 7 and bituminous surfacing projects including overlays of County Roads 23 and 5.
