The IT company L&T Technology Services has secured a 45 million euro (Rs 400 crore) contract from automotive supplier Forvia for engineering development activities. This five-year partnership will see around 300 engineers from Forvia’s Augsburg (Germany) and Bangalore (India) sites transferring to LTTS.
LTTS CEO and Managing Director Amit Chadha expressed the company’s dedication to driving progress in traditional engine technologies and new-age digital transformation for ultra-low emissions and clean mobility. This strategic partnership will not only provide engineering services for Forvia but also offer career growth opportunities for the transferred employees.
As per the agreement, LTTS will be responsible for reskilling the transferred engineers, enhancing their skillsets, and eventually repositioning them to work in various fields within LTTS’ commercial network. Despite the transition, the engineers will continue to work for Forvia from their current locations.
The partnership between L&T Technology Services and Forvia involves engineering development activities aimed at benefiting Forvia’s clean mobility division. The team of 300 engineers will be focusing on internal combustion engine-related engineering activities within LTTS. This collaboration underscores LTTS’ expertise in the transportation and automotive industry.
