Mintz Successfully Attracts Proskauer’s Life Science Patent Chair and Team with Ten-Lawyer Maneuver

In recent news, Mintz Levin has acquired Siegmund “Sige” Gutman, a former chair of Proskauer Rose’s life science patent practice. This move is part of a larger expansion for Mintz Levin in the life sciences sector in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York. With the addition of Gutman and his team, including member David Hanna and eight other attorneys, Mintz Levin will strengthen its presence in these key cities.

Gutman will be taking on the roles of chair of life sciences litigation and co-chair of the firm’s patent litigation group. This addition is part of a two-partner, 10-attorney move that is aimed at enhancing Mintz Levin’s capabilities in the life sciences field. The firm is excited to welcome Gutman and his team to help further establish itself as a leader in life sciences law in multiple locations across the country.
