Jackson Beaman hit a solo homer followed by Jack Holubowski’s first career hit. Mizzou scored nine runs in the inning, with contributions from Brock Daniels, Jackson Lovich, Colon, and Corona among others. Matt Garcia’s three-run homer made it 10-1 Mizzou.
Mizzou’s pitchers Victor Quinn, Ben Pederson and Xavier Lovett closed out the game without allowing any more runs. The offense added three more runs in the sixth inning, resulting in a 13-1 victory in seven innings. The next challenge for Mizzou is a weekend series against South Carolina starting on Friday at 6:00 p.m., where they will look to continue their winning streak and improve their record as they face one of their toughest opponents yet.
