The Jerez Sprint Race saw a major shakeup in the 2024 MotoGP World Championship standings. Fabio Quartararo, Raul Fernandez, Fabio di Giannantonio, Jack Miller, and Alex Rins received 8-second post-race penalties for low tire pressure.
The updated standings now show Jorge Martin leading the championship with 92 points, closely followed by Pedro Acosta with 63 points. Enea Bastianini has dropped to third place with 59 points, while Maverick ViƱales and Francesco Bagnaia are in fourth and fifth place respectively with 56 and 50 points.
Brad Binder, Marc Marquez, Aleix Espargaro, Fabio di Giannantonio, and Fabio Quartararo complete the top ten in the standings. Jack Miller, Marco Bezzecchi, Miguel Oliveira, Alex Marquez, and Augusto Fernandez are also among the top 15 riders in the championship.
