Despite the strong local economy, businesses in Narragansett, Rhode Island are still facing challenges in finding help in the hospitality industry. However, as the region prepares for the pre-summer tourist influx set to begin next month, many businesses have taken steps to improve their offerings.
O’Reilly Auto Parts has opened a store in Wakefield and Celeste has completed renovations in Narragansett. Tower Hill Brewing Co., which offers craft beers made on site in their taproom, has also recently opened its doors. In addition, patrons can bring their own food as they do not have a kitchen on site.
The South County Tourism Council is promoting spring specials at various businesses and restaurants on their website, www.southcountyri.com. As the busy tourist season approaches, it’s clear that businesses are taking steps to make sure they are ready to welcome visitors from all over the country.
