Nolan Harvath has been appointed as the new director of sports performance for Lady Vols basketball by coach Kim Caldwell. Harvath, who has been working with West Virginia’s strength and conditioning staff since December 2020, officially took up his new role in May 2022.
Harvath was previously an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the WVU football team, where he worked from spring 2021 to present. Prior to this role, he served as the director of strength and conditioning at Glenville State from 2018-2020. He also held the title of assistant athletic director from 2019-2020.
Harvath graduated with a degree in exercise science from the University of Southern Indiana in 2013 and went on to earn a master’s degree in athletic coaching education from West Virginia University (WVU) in 2016. He began his career as a strength and conditioning coach at the high school level, working at both East Fairmont High and Morgantown High from 2013-
