The German government is currently considering tightening its Cannabis Act in a bid to prevent commercial structures from being created during cultivation. Since April 1st, Germany has allowed possession and controlled cultivation of cannabis for private use, but with restrictions. Public consumption is permitted to a limited extent, with a ban in the immediate presence of minors and near schools, daycare centers, and sports facilities. Despite this general release, the German railway system still prohibits smoking weed at train stations and platforms. This ban is set to take effect in four weeks, with violations being pursued starting June 1st.
