The Charlotte Hornets have named Charles Lee as the next head coach of the team, making him the 12th coach in franchise history. Lee is currently the top assistant with the Boston Celtics and has previously worked with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. During his time with Boston, he helped the team achieve a 64-18 record, the best in the NBA and the fourth most wins in franchise history.
Lee’s coaching career began at his home university of Bucknell, where he played four years of college basketball. He then went on to play professionally overseas for four seasons before joining the NBA. Lee expressed his excitement about joining the Hornets and working with the talented young core of players. He believes in the passion for basketball in North Carolina and is eager to get to work in Charlotte.
