New Ulm Cathedral’s Kiah Helget Hits Two-Run Home Run, Impresses with Favorites and Athletic Skills

On Monday, senior Kiah Helget hit a two-run home run for New Ulm Cathedral against Nicollet at Harman Park. The Greyhounds won the game in just four innings with a final score of 16-0. Due to their 15-run lead, the game ended early. Helget’s performance was impressive as she went 4 for 4 with four RBIs.

In an interview, Helget shared her favorites. Her favorite food is chicken from Raising Cane’s and her favorite movie is “The Maze Runner,” specifically the first one. When she’s not on the softball field, she enjoys reading and lifting weights.

When asked about her favorite athlete, Helget mentioned Simone Biles, admiring her skills in gymnastics. As for her favorite animal, she expressed a love for Golden Retrievers but has yet to convince her parents to get one for her.
