Andrea McLaughlin has been appointed as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital. She assumed the position on April 28, following a comprehensive national search. With over two decades of experience in the nursing field, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.
McLaughlin’s career in nursing has progressed from bedside care to leadership positions. Her clinical background includes working in various settings such as correctional facilities, emergency medicine, medicine-surgery progressive care, and ambulatory care. Additionally, she has been involved in teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals as a faculty member at Brightpoint Community College and Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing.
