Oregon State standout Raegan Beers has announced her decision to transfer to Oklahoma. Beers, a junior forward, made the announcement on social media on Monday. During her time at Oregon State, Beers excelled on the court, averaging 17.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting an impressive 66.4 percent from the field.
Beers received several accolades during her time at Oregon State, including Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and Sixth Person of the Year honors. She was named to the conference’s All-Freshman team and recognized as a third-team All-American by the Associated Press in her sophomore year.
After Oregon State moved to the WCC in a two-year affiliate membership, Beers decided to transfer to Oklahoma. In a statement posted online, she expressed her excitement for the next chapter in her basketball career with the Sooners.
Beers emphasized the importance of hard work and love for competition qualities that she sees reflected in Oklahoma’s program.
With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Beers joins a talented roster led by head coach Jennie Baranczyk who guided the team to consecutive Big 12 titles and three straight NCAA tournament appearances.
She looks forward to contributing to Oklahoma’s success in their new conference with standout players like Skylar Vann, Payton Verhulst and Sahara Williams.
Beers is poised to make a significant impact for the Sooners as they navigate the challenges of playing against top-tier competition in their new league.
