The Las Vegas Raiders are considering a change of location for their 2024 training camp. Instead of using their current facility in Henderson, the team is in discussions with the city of Costa Mesa about using the Jack Hammett Sports Complex for this summer’s camp.
Costa Mesa’s City Council is set to discuss the possibility of entering a one-year agreement with the Raiders today. If approved, the NFL franchise could potentially pay $165,000 in rent to Costa Mesa as part of the agreement. Additionally, the Raiders would pay $600,000 for field improvements at the sports complex. This means that practices at the camp would be open to the public.
Since moving to Las Vegas in 2020, the Raiders have used their Henderson practice facility as their training camp site. However, if they choose to relocate to Southern California, they would join four other NFL teams training within 100 miles of one another in the area.
