Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B recently got to meet and hang out with 2023 World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson in a video that was featured during NBC Sports’ coverage of the 150th Kentucky Derby on Saturday. In the spot, the two women got their nails done together, chatted about Richardson’s training regimen and shared their love for Paris, which is set to host the Olympics this coming July 26.
Richardson, who is only 24 years old, has already made a name for herself in the world of track and field by winning the 2023 World 100m title in a personal-best time of 10.65 seconds. This has put her at the top of her game and made her the favorite to win the Paris Olympic 100m final on August 3rd. Only four women have ever run faster than 10.65, making this quite an impressive feat.
Before she can compete in the Olympics, Richardson must first make it onto the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials team from June 21-30 in Eugene, Oregon.
