In a thrilling softball game at the Ole Miss Softball Complex, Lexie Brady hit her team-leading 13th home run of the season, cementing Ole Miss’s 7-3 victory over Southern Miss. Angelina DeLeon also had a standout performance, hitting her second home run of the season and having a two-hit night. Grace Sparks pitched well, striking out five batters over 3.2 innings and improving her record to 6-1. Brianna Lopez finished off the game to secure the win for the Rebels.
The game began with Southern Miss scoring first, but Ole Miss quickly responded with three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead. After Southern Miss tied things up in the second inning, Sparks entered the game and pitched effectively to keep things even. The Rebels broke through again in the fourth inning with two more runs thanks to hits from DeLeon and Ryan Starr. Lassiter then delivered a two-run single to make it a 5-3 game.
