Mt Monger Resources Ltd. (AU:MTM) has recently released an update regarding the Flash Joule Heating (FJH) prototype developed by MTM Critical Metals Ltd. The FJH prototype has demonstrated significant improvements in the recovery of rare earth elements and critical metals from coal fly ash, with recovery rates increasing by as much as 514% compared to traditional acid leach methods. This advancement, which was scaled up 50 times from the initial proof of concept, also aims to reduce acid use and waste in the leaching process.
To further improve the economic viability of this sustainable technology, MTM Critical Metals Ltd. is looking to expand testing to other metal-rich waste sources. With these improvements, this technology can offer a more efficient and cost-effective solution for recovering valuable minerals from waste materials.
