As a mental health advocate, she has always been passionate about destigmatizing conversations about mental illness and helping people facing mental health challenges. Her personal experience with mental illness has driven her to pursue a degree in psychology, which she completed with honors in 2022.
Her journey began when she volunteered with Kids Minds Matter while completing her associate’s degree at Florida SouthWestern College in 2020. She continued her involvement with the organization as a behavioral health intern at FGCU, where she helped organize events aimed at raising awareness about mental health.
Through her coursework and personal experiences, she aims to make a positive impact on spreading awareness and understanding about mental health challenges. She hopes to utilize her degree to provide mental health education and continue advocating for those facing these challenges.
