Louis Leterrier set to direct new sci-fi horror film ‘11817,’ launching at Cannes Film Festival.

In Cannes, the sci-fi horror film 11817 is being presented to buyers by Rocket Science. The unique concept of the film, which follows a family of four trapped in their house indefinitely, has caught the attention of Louis Leterrier, who will be directing and producing the movie. Leterrier’s Carrousel Studios, Rocket Science, Thank You Studios, Chernin Entertainment (A North Road Company), and 3 Arts Entertainment are all involved in the production.

The casting for the film is currently underway and the production team includes producers from each studio as well as others. Rocket Science will handle foreign sales and fully finance the project, with CAA Media Finance representing domestic rights.

Leterrier is excited about this new project and aims to create an unforgettable experience for movie audiences through portraying characters they can relate to and support throughout their journey. He has previously directed big-budget films like Fast X, Now You See Me, and The Incredible Hulk. Additionally, he has produced and directed successful TV shows like Netflix’s Lupin and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
