Tornado Strikes Lancaster County Business with 70 Employees Present

A tornado struck the plastic injection molding service, Garner Industries, located in northeast Lancaster County on Friday afternoon while 70 workers were inside. The building near N 98th Street and Cornhusker Highway between Lincoln and Waverly collapsed around 3 p.m., trapping several individuals inside. Three workers sustained injuries and were taken to area hospitals, but are expected to recover. The remaining workers were transported to the Sandhills Global Event Center for safety.
